This year ‘s Official HMD theme marks the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz and looks towards a brighter future.
The genocide against the Jewish people during WWII remains a stain on humanity. We remember this atrocious act with respect and sorrow. We consider the fact that many Jewish people who believed in Jesus were sent to the gas chambers or shot dead. They were still Jewish.
The pre-meditated slaughter of 1200 Jewish people in Israel on 7th October 2023, the on-going rising antisemitism and the subsequent war in the Middle East poses the question,
‘Is it possible to look towards a brighter future?’
