Volunteer Prayer Coordinator sought

Do you like keeping up to date with people’s life stories?

Can you do “Long story short”?

We have recently done a consultation exercise with our members who receive our quarterly prayer magazine “Prayer Focus” and identified that we need a dedicated resource to generate meaningful content each quarter on behalf of the various ministry leads in the UK and in Israel.

What would it involve:

  • Contacting up to 25 ministry leads each quarter
  • Chatting to them about how God has blessed their work in the last three months
  • Finding out what their prayer needs will be in the next three months
  • Summarising each into a single page of content (270 words or less)
  • Connecting with up to 20 retired CMJ staff to generate one page of Prayer related content

Skills / Experience:

  • Understanding of CMJ UK’s and CMJ Israel’s ministries
  • Experience of what makes a good prayer resource
  • IT hands on usage of WhatsApp, emails (it could involve the use of AI to generate summaries) and in the future to engage with a prayer app
  • Good use of English
  • Ability to encourage open communication
  • Ability to recognise sensitive issues
  • Trustworthy when confidential information is being shared
  • Deliver to a timetable
  • Experience of similar roles

Equipment necessary:

  • IT kit to do WhatsApp calls and process email correspondence
  • Suitable broadband connections

Is this you? Great! Please send an email explaining why you feel this is something you can do to office@cmj.org.uk
