by Kelvin Crombie,
In 1809 the “London Society for Promoting Christianity amongst the Jews” was formed in London. It is known today as the “Church’s Ministry among Jewish People”, or CMJ.
Within a few years leading British statesmen and Christians such as William Wilberforce, Lewis Way, Charles Simeon, and later Lord Shaftesbury were actively involved.
In time CMJ took the message from London to Ireland, all of Europe, the Eastern Mediterranean, North Africa, Persia, Abyssinia, the USA, Canada, Australia, Argentina, South Africa, and other locations.
This book is the story of CMJ. Of how men and women have served the Jewish people during the last 200 years.
