Alex Jacob reflects on the importance of the emergency recall to pray for Jerusalem on Tuesday 1st September, which has been issued by Anne Graham-Lotz.

2 Thessalonians 3:3 “But the Lord is worthy of trust; He will make you firm and guard you from the evil one.”

From time to time, our calling to pray for Jerusalem and the purposes of God for Israel and the region, need to be re-shaped and re-invigorated. Having just returned from Jerusalem, last week, I also share with Anne Graham-Lotz, a growing sense of urgency to deepen our prayers for Jerusalem at this time, and therefore I am pleased to support this call to prayer.

In addition to this important focus for Tuesday 1st September, I would also like to bring to your attention a special annual prayer gathering on Yom Kippur: Wednesday 23rd September.

CMJ is partnering with four other Jewish Mission agencies to seek God’s rich blessings upon the Jewish people and communities, in order that there may be a growing openness to the Gospel.

If you can join us in person, the venue is: The City Temple, Holburn Viaduct, London, Time from: 1pm-5pm.

Prayer is such a vital part of our ‘ministry DNA’ let us therefore invest in these two special opportunities.
