About CMJ
CMJ is short for 'The Church's Ministry among Jewish people', a ministry that has been investing in the spiritual rebirth of the Jewish people since 1809.
CMJ's mission is:
'To encourage Jewish people to come to faith in Yeshua (Jesus) as their Messiah, to support them in serving him as Lord in the light of God's purpose for them, and to equip the church to be involved in this mission.'
CMJ UK's mission is carried out in three ways: Evangelism, Encouragement and Education. This three-fold mission is fulfilled in the following ways:
- Employing evangelists in London and Manchester, who sensitively share the Gospel with Jewish people and train others to do so.
- Encouraging and supporting the spiritual growth of Messianic Jews and Messianic Jewish congregations in the UK.
- Providing teaching materials for churches and groups.
- Providing prayer groups with up to date information for prayer and maintaining an emergency prayer line.
- Teaching the Jewish roots of Christianity in churches, theological colleges and universities.
- Building positive relationships between gentile Christians and Messianic Jews.
- Coordinating and hosting Shoresh Study Tours to Israel.
- Partnering with other Christian organisations that support Israel.
- Providing major funding to support the work of CMJ Israel.
PRESIDENT
Bishop John Taylor, President
Bishop Taylor serves in an advisory role, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to CMJ UK.
STAFF
Robin Aldridge, CEO
Robin Aldridge provides the day to day leadership for HQ staff and ensures that the mission of CMJ UK is fulfilled.
Rev Alex Jacob, Director of Advocacy
Rev Alex Jacob serves as both Director of Advocacy and Director of Evangelism. He works with churches and clergy training establishments to bring awareness of the Jewish roots of Christianity and provides leadership for evangelism activities. alexcmj.org.uk
Trevor Killick, Director of Finances
Trevor brings a wealth of financial experience in both accountancy and property to the direction and planning of CMJ's finances.
Alan Bowell, Finance Manager
Alan Bowell manages CMJ UK's finances, which support work in the UK and Israel.
Jane Moxon, Supporter Development Manager
Jane Moxon works to develop CMJ UK's supporter base and coordinates deputation tours from Israel throughout the UK.
Jane van der Merwe, Shoresh Administrator
Jane coordinates and promotes Shoresh tours.
Jacki Turney, Supporter Care Manager
Jacki Turney provides onsite support for operations at HQ, including managing all activities related to donors and caring for the needs of overnight visitors to Eagle Lodge, from around the UK and abroad.
Kristine Luken, UK Administrator
Kristine Luken provides administrative support to the Council, coordinates the annual conference, and maintains CMJ's website.
